Friday Night Emcee
Bob is the host of the evening events at the MWSFF. He
has channeled his passion for folk music into many activities over
the last thirty years. He recently retired from his popular Sunday Night WKAR radio show, The
Folk Tradition. For 27 years, he shared
a wide variety of traditional and contemporary folk music with WKAR lsiteners. Bob co-founded
the Ten Pound Fiddle coffeehouse in 1975. He served on the Music
Programming Committee for the National Folk Festival's three year
stay in East Lansing, and did the same for the Great Lakes
Folk Festival. He has contributed over one hundred articles, columns
and reviews to Sing Out! and other publications, and has
even written a song that was recently recorded by the Short Sisters.
Bob is the computer systems administrator at Elderly Instruments
in Lansing, Michigan.
