Wanda Degen

Wanda Degen credits a musical mom and family to her love of music. As a child and young woman Wanda sang in the Montague Methodist choir. She performed with her first folk group, The White Lake 4Hers, at the age of 12. With a background of flute and piano, Wanda began her immersion into the dulcimer and autoharp worlds in the fall of 1971 as a freshman at MSU. Based in East Lansing ever since, her music collaborations include Lady of the Lake and The Troublesome Lasses and duos with Pete Wittig, Dan Giacobassi and Kitty Donohoe. Wanda's recordings include The Valley of Abundance (all instrumental) and Of Woods and Water - Songs of the Great Lakes Region.
