 Together,
Miguel Cabañas and José Colmeiro are Los Maestros.
Both Professors in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at
Michigan State, Miguel teaches Latin American Literature and Culture
and José teaches
Hispanic Languages and Literatures. In their workshops, Miguel
and José will lead a range of basic to more complicated
techniques within the Spanish-Speaking musical tradition.

Together,
Miguel Cabañas and Jose Colmeiro are Los Maestros.
In these workshops, we will experience the richness of Spanish-Speaking
musical traditions. We will learn some basic Spanish pronunciation,
and learn the harmonies and rhythms of popular songs in Spanish.
These songs from Spain and Latin America tell stories of people’s
hopes and sorrows, their dreams and experiences.
